We do not offer Kickboxing/MMA for kids. We offer for teenagers and adults (men and women)
When you come for the 1st time, arrive 10 minutes early, if you arrive after the class has already started, you won't be permitted to join. You can observe the class and come back for the next available class, if you don't have a Judo or Jiu-Jitsu uniform, wear sweat pants and a t-shirt. (No shirts or pants with buttons)
Bring a bottle of water, a pair of sandals or flip-flops. No shoes on the mat area, no walking bare foot outside the mat area!
Don't wear jewelry, metal or hard plastic (hair pins or clips). Rubber or elastic bands are permitted.
We start children ages 5 and up, however, young children must be able to follow directions and keep up with class. It is on instructor's discretion to determine if your child is mature enough to take classes. Parents are not allowed to coach their children.
If you decide to enroll in the program, you must to purchase your uniform or your equipment. It must be a Jiu-Jitsu or Judo uniform colors White, Blue or Black only. I recommend that you have one of each color if possible. Students must wear rash-guards under their uniforms, we recommend teenager girls to wear sports braw. All students are expected to wear full clean uniform. On our main page, there is a tutorial video of how to properly tie the belt, all students must to watch this video and practice daily until learned. When time comes for competition, all students must have team patches sewed on their uniforms. Always reserve your class before hand! Click on the member's login button to access your profile.
RULES:
1. Reserve your class! Be punctual - be on time.
2. Absolutely no shoes on the mat area and never walk barefoot outside of the mat area! It is common courtesy and tradition to bow to every Black belt on the mat in sign of respect.
3. Always practice common courtesies such as extending the proper greetings (hello, good evening, good-night, etc. to instructors, parents, and friends.
4. Always be courteous to all instructors by addressing them as Professor/Master/Sensei. For students, adults should be addressed as Mr/Mrs/Ms.
5. Be neat and clean at all times.
6. A good Martial Artist will always take care of his/her uniform and make sure it is always clean and in good conditions. “Air out” your uniform after each practice and wash it regularly.
7. Fingernails and toenails must be cut short at all times. This will prevent injury to others and yourself. Hair should be clean and neat.
8. Rings, jewelry, or other accessories are never to be worn on the mat.
9. Slippers/Flip-Flops/Sandals must be worn when off the mat. They should be arranged neatly along the side of the mat.
10. Do not talk during a sparring round unless you and your partner have a mutual agreement to do.
11. If an instructor is teaching a particular technique, do not deviate or improvise. Drill the move until your instructor advises otherwise.
12. Students must pay strict attention to instructors.
13. Know your partner’s limitation or physical abilities. We are all here to learn and have fun, so be extremely careful with your partners. Be aware of differences in age, weight, and skills. Please use common sense.
14. If you sweat profusely, keep a towel close by.
15. Children must ask permission to get off the mat area.
16. There should be no conversing between parents and students while on the mat.
17. No mat side coaching from parents.
18. Instructor will announce when to take water break.
19. Students are to keep the kitchen area and washrooms neat and clean as well as other areas.
20. Report any injuries to the instructors immediately.
21. No gum chewing is allowed at any time.
